Hydros as partner of the Yacht Racing Forum 2015

The Yacht Racing Forum, a key fixture for professionals in competitive sailing, will take place in Geneva for the first time from 7 to 8 December 2015 in the Hotel InterContinental. The CEO and R&D Manager of Hydros Innovation will be there and will take part in two of the conferences organised during the event.

Every year, the Yacht Racing Forum brings together the main international players in competitive sailing. Sailors, designers, sponsors, event organisers and other professionals meet up at the forum to discuss the problems facing the sector and ways of dealing with future challenges. Thus, year after year, the Forum promotes and consolidates the growth of the yacht racing industry.

This year, Giorgio Provinciali, R&D Manager of Hydros Innovation, will share some of his firm's expertise in nautical performance and efficiency at the Design & Technology conference: "What are the latest developments in foiling technology for inshore racing?" Meanwhile, the CEO of Hydros Innovation, Jérémie Lagarrigue, will draw on the experience of the Hydros Foundation, of which he is also a member and co-founder, and its flagship events – the Hydrocontest and the Little Cup – to provide advice and ideas at the conference on "Effective and concrete recipes for the organisation of sustainable sailing events".

The engineering firm will also be represented by Stéphane Dyen, Head of the Hydros Innovation Design Team, at a dedicated stand for the entire duration of the event.

The many speakers in the Form will also include François Gabart, a French sailor who won the Vendée Globe 2012-2013 and the Transat Jacques Vabre 2015; Knut Frostad, CEO of the Volvo Ocean Race; Mark Turner, Executive Chairman of OC Sport; Ian Walker, a British sailor who won the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-2015; and Guillaume Verdier, a renowned French naval architect.

A detailed programme for the two days and an exhaustive list of participants are available on the official website of the Yacht Racing Forum.
